First, new shoes paired with one of my favorite shirts I own that I can only very rarely figure out how to wear:
Top, Prada. Shorts, Theory. Shoes, Miu Miu.
A few days later I saw this picture and realized that I'd internalized it to get to the outfit posted above.
Still from Taxi Driver.
Not gonna lie, this movie is responsible for a lifelong obsession with finding the perfect pair of wedge heels. I think these are pretty damn close to ideal, but one must never rest on these things, you know? Anyway, what better style icon than a teenage hooker character? I ask you.
This next outfit is one born from pure necessity: these sandals are the only ones I own that are backless, and I recently brought out a pair of flats I don't wear very often and came out of the situation with some vicious blisters (if that's not the name of a punk band already, it should be). Also I went to the movies to see Iron Man 2, and I always have to wear jeans to the movies because otherwise I freeze to death.
Since the outfit is possibly not the world's MOST exciting ensemble, I perked it up a bit by matching my lipstick to my shoes. I'm obsessed with this lipstick - it's 203 by Make Up For Ever and it's the most perfect shade of bright fuchsia. Love, love, love.
:)
Tank top, Piko 1988. Jeans, Rich & Skinny. Shoes, The Gap.
You got your Miu Miu's, congrats! How's the fit? Are they true to size? They work really well with the Prada top.
ReplyDeleteHey L, thanks for commenting! I actually have the worst fucking time finding Miu Miu's that fit perfectly - I'm an exact 40.5 in them. So considering that I'm generally a 40 or 41 in other shoes, yeah, they're probably perfectly true to size! :) And pretty comfortable too.
